Dozens of area business leaders came together to expose nearly 200 Osbourn High School students to the job interviewing process on Nov. 15, 2016, during the school’s first Mock Interview + Career & Technical Education (CTE) Open House event. For many students, this was their first opportunity to practice this crucial “real world” skill.
In addition to preparing students for the workforce, businesses also toured CTE classrooms, getting a chance to see these hands-on learning environments and learn how their companies can both benefit from and contribute to the program.
Special thanks to our business industry and education partners who made the event a success: SWIFT, Lockheed-Martin, Micron, Miller Toyota, Bookworm Central, Manassas City Police and Fire Departments, Northern Virginia Community College, Federal Bureau of Investigation, TWIN AIR, Able Moving and Storage, Uptown Alley, ProbyDesign, Avisionworldwide, Novant Health, Home Service Doctors, Project Mend a House, Pet Care Co., Make Impact Real-estate, Smart Styles Corporation, Smart Beginnings of Greater Prince William County, New York Life, and Leidos.
Manassas City Public Schools looks forward to building more business relationships, creating more opportunities for community members to help shape a bright future for the students of our city!
